Privacy

• Your email address, to sign you in and tell you about your swaps.
• Your alias (we make one up for you; you can change it once), your suburb if you add it, and the city you swap in.
• Your listings: photos, any video, descriptions and the value estimate.
• What you save, the offers and swaps you're part of, your messages, and ratings.
• Your auto-swap descriptions, if you set any up.
• Reports and blocks you make.
• When you ask for a sign-in link, your IP address, so we can stop anyone flooding someone's inbox. It's deleted with the link.

Anyone can see live listings, and the alias, suburb and swap history of the person who listed them. Your public page shows when you joined, how many swaps you've done, how they were rated, any no-shows, and feedback comments about you and your replies. Comments never show who wrote them. Photos of items that aren't live any more are only visible to the owner and the people swapping for them.

The person you're swapping with sees your alias and your messages to them. In a three-way swap, nobody sees who else is involved. We never show your email address to other people.

Location: nobody sees more than your suburb. We remove location data from photos when you upload them.

We use AI models to describe and value items from their photos, to find likely matches, and to check auto-swap matches against your description. These run on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Auto-swap only completes a swap without asking you when you've switched it on, and only for items that clearly fit what you described.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores our database, photos, videos and search index, and runs the AI models. Videos are converted for playback by Cloudflare Stream; only the converted copies are shown, never the file you uploaded, so location data your phone recorded in it isn't passed on. The database is kept in the Oceania region, so your information is stored outside the US.
• Resend sends our emails.
• Google Fonts serves the typeface, so Google sees your IP address when a page loads.

One cookie, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. No analytics or advertising cookies.

For as long as you have an account. Sign-in links are deleted when they expire. You can withdraw a listing yourself at any time; to delete your account and everything in it, email us.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Email swapme-support@remitten.com.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't let advertisers or other companies track what you do across other websites. Nevada residents can also ask us not to sell their information in future, at the same address, and we'll honour it.
